Quantifying conformational changes in the TCR:pMHC-I binding interface
Published 2024“…Results: In support of some case studies, we demonstrate that all complementarity determining region (CDR) loops move to a certain extent but only CDR3α and CDR3β loops modify their shape when binding pMHC-Is. …”

Surface molecular doping of all-inorganic perovskite using zethrenes molecules
Published 2020“…We present an optical and photoelectron spectroscopic study to elucidate the interfacial electronic properties of organic-inorganic semiconductor heterojunctions formed in a kinetically blocked heptazethrene triisopropylsilyl ethynylene (HZ-TIPS) and its homologue, octazethrene (OZ-TIPS) on an all-inorganic perovskite cesium lead bromide (CsPbBr3) surface. …”

The role of the reticulocyte-binding-like protein homologues of Plasmodium in erythrocyte sensing and invasion
Published 2013“…Two parasite protein families termed reticulocyte-binding-like protein homologues (RBL) and the erythrocyte-binding-like (EBL) protein family are conserved in all Plasmodium species and have been shown to play an important role in host cell recognition and invasion. …”

Post-polymerisation modification of surface chemical functionality and its effect on protein binding
Published 2013“…Derivatisation of polystyrene by carbene insertions followed by diazonium coupling permits the introduction of diverse chemical functionality, providing access to materials with similar bulk properties, but in which surface chemical characteristics are systematically varied across a range of surface polarity, hydration and non-bonding interaction behaviour. Protein binding experiments with bovine serum albumin demonstrate that protein adhesion is dependent upon the identity of the surface chemical group, with tert-butyl, hexyl, dimethylamino, amino, and carboxyl modified systems all exhibiting higher levels of binding, while glycol, hydroxyl, and phosphonate give similar or lower levels of binding, relative to the control. …”
