Cold atoms laboratory in a hollow core fiber
Published 2021“…I first demonstrate an inertia-sensitive Mach-Zehnder atom interferometer using two counter-propagating Raman beams. However, the short quantum spin coherence time of $\sim$\SI{100}{\micro\second} due to the differential AC stark shift from the trapping beam is a major obstacle to reaching high sensitivity of the optically trapped atom interferometer inside the HCF. …”

Enhanced piezoelectric nanogenerator based on tridoped graphene and Ti3CNTx MXene Quasi-3D heterostructure
Published 2024“…According to X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometer (XRD), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) chemical characterization analysis, it is proposed that the excellent conductivity and rich surface functional groups of these two-dimensional materials can effectively provide heterointerfaces to form a quasi-three-dimensional heterostructure and improve the interaction between the fillers and polymer matrix, promoting the electroactive β-phase, and consequently enhancing the output power density of PENG. …”

Functional properties of Yttrium Iron Garnett thin films on graphene-coated Gd3Ga5O12 for remote epitaxial transfer
Published 2024“…Both materials were characterized in terms of crystal structure, surface morphology, FMR and Gilbert damping, and Raman and XAS spectroscopy. It was found that YIG on graphene-coated GGG exhibits significantly higher microwave losses than standard YIG on GGG (FMR linewidth 30.9 vs 2.1 Oe at 10 GHz, and Gilbert damping coefficient 15.4 × 10-4 vs 3.4 × 10-4 respectively), which was attributed to increased concentration of Fe2+ cations in YIG/Graphene/GGG. …”

Published 2014“…The two species also displayed similarity in hierarchical fibril bundling and a sub-micron staggering of 100–105 nm within filaments, as shown by atomic force microscopy and small angle X-ray diffraction. In situ Raman micro spectroscopy indicated that P. cochlidium egg cases undergo a stress-induced coiled-coil to extended β-strand structural transformation that is very similar to that of B. canaliculatus. …”

Structural and magnetic interplay in multiferroic Ho₀.₅Nd₀.₅Fe₃(BO₃)₄
Published 2023“…By utilizing temperature-dependent synchrotron x-ray powder diffraction, we report here the observation of structural phase transition, i.e., the lowering of crystal symmetry from R32 to P3121 below TN in Ho0.5Nd0.5Fe3(BO3)4, which is further confirmed by single-crystal x-ray diffraction measurements as well as substantiated by dielectric and Raman spectroscopic results. With the help of x-ray resonant magnetic scattering, we have studied the element-specific magnetic ordering behavior, and by combining all the results, we show that the spontaneous electric polarization below the antiferromagnetic ordering transition emerges through the p-d hybridization mechanism associated with the FeO6 octahedra. …”
