Visitation returns and nineteenth-century Anglicanism in Oxford and its surrounding parishes by Lancaster, S

    Published 2022
“…Despite being a significant drain on time and resources much church building took place over the century. A key reason that justified this was the building’s potential to convey a religious message of spiritual authority and value, but the ministers also made great use of lower-status structures for mission rooms and halls. …”

Experimental study of liquid spreading on pattern surface by Lee, Chia Seah.

    Published 2009
“…It was found that a smoother surface profile, in terms of the depths of grooves, heights of protrusions and the availability of plateau on the surface have influences over the contact angles. The contact angles of water droplet on silicone samples made from 0.4mm diameter balls have smaller discrepancy and are close to the contact angle of water droplet on flat silicone surface. …”

Mitigating Undercutting Attacks: A Study on Mining and Transaction Fee Behavior by Bao, Claire

    Published 2024
“…Our research found that the blockchain is safe from undercutting attacks when the block size limit is small relative to the number of transactions, but the blockchain becomes more susceptible to undercutting attacks if transactions with much higher fees enter the mempool infrequently even for smaller block size limits. Moreover, we extend the logic of undercutting attacks from the original paper to show that, if the mempool dynamics are such that the undercutting occurs long-term, the tangible impact on users is that very little progress will be made as fully rational miners will end up only including one transaction per block, regardless of the total amount of available transactions.…”
