The impact of the timing of a prior year's auditor concessions on financial officers' judgments
Published 2019“…We find that financial officers report a larger expected ultimate income-decreasing audit adjustment and are prepared to offer more concessions if the auditor had previously used a concession-start strategy (where the auditor had given a concession before the start of the negotiation but did not concede during the negotiation) relative to a concession-end strategy (where the concession was provided only in the last round of negotiation). Our results indicate that auditors' prior negotiation strategies impact financial officers' use of strategies on current year's negotiations. …”

Entropy Based Modelling for Estimating Demographic Trends
Published 2015“…The procedure of the proposed method involves three stages, namely: 1) Prediction of the age distribution of a country’s population based on an “age-structured population model”; 2) Estimation the age distribution of each individual household size with an entropy-based formulation based on an “individual household size model”; and 3) Estimation the number of each household size based on a “total household size model”. The last stage is achieved by projecting the age distribution of the country’s population (obtained in stage 1) onto the age distributions of individual household sizes (obtained in stage 2). …”

Organ Printing: Past, Present and Future
Published 2016“…The organ printing technology consists of three main steps: (i) pre-processing or design of blueprint for bioprinting of human organ; (ii) processing or actual 3D bioprinting using bioink or self-assembling tissue spheroids, biopaper or bioprintable, biocompatible and sacrificial hydrogel and bioprinter or automatic computer-aided robotic dispenser; and finally, (iii) postprocessing or bioreactor-based accelerated tissue maturation. During last decade 3D bioprinting technology has been advances and broadly recognized a new research paradigm and new exciting research direction in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. …”

Bacterial Biofilm Control by Perturbation of Bacterial Signaling Processes
Published 2018“…In particular, bacterial cell to cell signaling called “Quorum Sensing” together with intracellular signaling by bis-(3′-5′)-cyclic-dimeric guanosine monophosphate (cyclic-di-GMP) have gained a lot of attention over the last two decades. More recently, regulatory processes governed by two component regulatory systems and small non-coding RNAs have been increasingly investigated. …”

An investigation on the mechanism of droplet formation in a microfluidic T-junction
Published 2012“…We provide new insights on the pressure difference between the dispersed phase and the continuous phase during the droplet break-up process and show that the minimum pressure difference happens at the last moment of the droplet break-up and not during the second and third stage of the droplet formation mechanism in the squeezing regime as suggested by other researchers.…”
