Glueball Regge trajectories in (2+1)-dimensional gauge theories by Meyer, H, Teper, M

    Published 2003
“…We elaborate the Regge theory of high-energy scattering in 2 space dimensions, and we conclude, from the observed low intercept, that high-energy glueball scattering is not dominated by the leading Regge pole exchange, but rather by a more complex singularity structure in the region 0≤Reλ≤1/2 of the complex angular momentum λ plane. We show that these conclusions do not change if we go to larger groups, SU(N>2), and indeed to SU(∞), and we contrast all this with our very preliminary calculations in the D = 3 + 1 SU(3) gauge theory. © 2003 Elsevier B.V. …”

Do public healthcare programs make societies more equal? Cross-country evidence on subjective wellbeing by Ryan Joseph R. Dizon

    Published 2023-11-01
“…This study investigates the relationship between UHC and the inequality in subjective wellbeing (SWB) and explores whether public health programs can reduce social inequality. By employing SWB inequality as a measure, we go beyond the conventional income-centric approach to assess social inequality. …”

Do we want more cancer patients on clinical trials If so, what are the barriers to greater accrual by Vickers Andrew J

    Published 2008-06-01
“…The key metric is thus not the number of patients on clinical trials, but the number on the sort of large, randomized, Phase III trials that can be used as a basis for clinical decisions. I also address two important barriers to greater clinical trial participation. …”
