Description
Summary:An airliner is a large fixed-wing aircraft for transporting passengers and cargo. Such plans are owned by airlines. Although the definition of an airliner can vary from country to country, an airliner is typically defined as a plane intended for carrying multiple passengers in commercial service, and the Russian Sikorsky Ilya Muromets was the first official passenger aircraft by this definition. This airliner made its first flight in 1913, and thus began the industry of commercial airlines. The industry would slowly develop for the next several decades and would begin to expand at an incredible rate after World War II.
