Evidence for a consistent use of external cues by marine fish larvae for orientation

In the majority of tested marine teleost fish species, larvae rely on external cues for orientation. This finding is important to understand larval behaviour and its implementation in biophysical dispersal models used for sustainable management and conservation of marine resources.
