Carotenoid binding in Gloeobacteria rhodopsin provides insights into divergent evolution of xanthorhodopsin types

Structural alignment and molecular docking identifies a mutation on helix E and F of the opsin backbone of the Gloeobacteria rhodopsin, presenting more insight on the carotenoid-binding pocket.
