description | In addition to explicit and pre-intended goals educational systems such as universities and higher education institutions have implicit functions which influence the learning and personality and psychological development of their learners. These functions and effects are referred to as hidden curriculum. The purpose of the present research is to examine and explain different and varied effects of hidden curriculum among engineering students of Kashan University. The target population of this research was all of the engineering students in Kashan University (N=1622) 99 of whom were selected. The data was collected using a researcher – made questionnaire. The estimated Cronbachs Alpha was 0.80. Findings indicated that four variables of the hidden curriculum, namely teaching methods, evaluation procedures, rules and regulations and interaction of faculties and students have highest mean. Also, there was significant difference among students in terms of sex and academic fields. Consequently engineering instructions of students must consider all of the implicit and unexpected outcomes. |
