Abrupt drainage of Lago Greve, a large proglacial lake in Chilean Patagonia, observed by satellite in 2020

An April 2020 glacial lake outburst flood from Lago Greve, Chilean Patagonia, released approximately 3.7 ± 0.2 km3 of water, according to space-borne altimetry and optical observations, and represents one of the largest such events of the satellite era.
