description Textbooks, the pillars of the school curriculum, trace the study of student classes and represent their educational incipit. In this regard, a question arises: "does the history studied at school take gender relations into account?". Starting from the analysis of a selection of recent history textbooks for high schools, the study attempts to assess, through the analysis of textual and iconographic citations, whether the female figure is present in the new generation of textbooks. Therefore, it is crucial to detect to what extent and in what capacity this figure contributes to the narrative of history studied at school.
