Recently there were revolutions in General Education in universities or colleges in Taiwan to pursue the prospect of “Liberal Education” or “Holistic Education”. This paper aimed at exploring the application of audiovisual media in General Education with the author’s teaching experience in the Center for General Education of National Chia-Yi University. At first, it will explore the goals and principles of application of audiovisual media in General Education. Secondly, it will use three examples in the course “Democracy and the Rule of Law” to analyze the process of application in this course. Finally, it concludes how to challenge the limits of application of audiovisual media in General Education. |
