Permanent vocal fold paralysis after ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy of thyroid nodule
Core needle biopsy is commonly regarded as a safe procedure with a low complication rate. We present a report of permanent vocal fold paralysis after core needle biopsy of a thyroid nodule. This is the fourth report in the literature of this rare complication.
