Contact-electro-catalysis for the degradation of organic pollutants using pristine dielectric powders

Contact electro catalysis (CEC) was proposed as a novel catalytic principle that uses electron transfers during contact electrification to accelerate chemical reactions. Here the authors show even catalytically inert pristine polymers can catalyze the degradation of organic pollutant.
