Public opinion in the Roman Republic

The article deals with the forms of the public opinion manifestation in the Republican Rome. The authors show that in the Roman Republic the public opinion existed in the form of the ‘public tribunal’ of the Roman people that was respected, omnipresent, all-pervading and volatile.
