Description
Summary:Supported by examples taken from publications in Romanian alphabet of transition, focusing its analysis on onomastic and toponymic transliterations, and especially on the processes of lexical "parenthesizations" seen as innovative strategies adopted for didactical purposes linked to the French influence, this paper proposes gathering of "parenthesized" occurrences of that time (doublets, synonyms, glosses, paraphrases, translations, interpretations etc...) present in the whole corpus of periodicals and volumes. Thanks to computer technology, detailed analyzes and comparison with prior results will allow to reach a better clarification and accuracy about the history of Romanian lexicography and words (attestation of words, uses and significations, neologisms etc.), and about the evolution of the cultural landscape and various areas of the local imaginary.
