description This article discusses how literary texts are worked in the textbooks for the teaching foreign french drawn from the communicative approach and action-based approach proposed in QECR (2001). We intend to situate historically the use of literary texts in teaching FLE and reflect on: a) the presence of literary texts in the textbook FLE, b) the proposed activities about literary texts. We want to give a clear idea of using literary texts in textbooks for FLE. We conclude that it is necessary to be proposed, in textbooks FLE, activities giving proper recognition to specificities of literary texts.
