description Abstract In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the Netherlands received an application from BASF SE to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the active substance fluxapyroxad in grapes and potatoes. In order to accommodate for the intended uses of fluxapyroxad, the Netherlands proposed to raise the existing MRLs to 0.5 mg/kg in table and wine grapes and 0.07 mg/kg in potatoes. The Netherlands drafted an evaluation report in accordance with Article 8 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, which was submitted to the European Commission and forwarded to EFSA. According to EFSA, the submitted supervised residue trials are sufficient to derive MRL proposals of 0.5 mg/kg on table and wine grapes and 0.07 mg/kg on potatoes. Alternatively, risk managers may consider the MRL of 0.1 mg/kg for potatoes to cover potential residues in rotational crops as proposed in the conclusion of the peer review. Adequate analytical enforcement methods are available to monitor the residues of fluxapyroxad on the commodities under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concludes that the proposed uses of fluxapyroxad on table and wine grapes and potatoes will not result in a consumer exposure exceeding the toxicological reference values and therefore are unlikely to pose a consumer health risk.
