Sedimentation strategies provide effective but limited mitigation of relative sea-level rise in the Mekong delta

Improved sediment management can only partially compensate for anthropogenic-accelerated subsidence in the Mekong delta, but can buy time to mitigate and adapt to rising sea levels according to combined projections of subsidence, compaction, sea-level rise and fluvial sediment delivery.
