A mechanochemical domino reaction: From α-methylbenzyl alcohols to diacylfuroxans
A domino reaction was discovered in which diacylfuroxans were prepared directly from α-methylbenzyl alcohols in a solvent-free reaction through the intermediates of the corresponding acetophenones by combining the reagents of Fe(NO3)3·9H2O and P2O5 under high-speed ball milling reaction condition.
