Foregut organ progenitors and their niche display distinct viscoelastic properties in vivo during early morphogenesis stages
Here, the authors present a method based on optical tweezers to measure mechanical properties of cells inside living zebrafish embryos. The measurement reveals spatiotemporally distinct mechanical properties, linking cell mechanics and morphogenesis.
