| description | The tools and techniques of quality are the operational dimension necessary to support the implementation of the principles of Total Quality Management and necessary for the implementation of the processes of continuous quality improvement in business. The aim of this paper is to analyze the degree of use of quality tools and techniques for the tourism industry. The methodology consists of a descriptive analysis of the tools to investigate their level of use, and in order to check whether there are differences in the use of them by size of business and membership subsector use statistical tools, tables contingency. The empirical study was conducted on 186 companies certified tourist accommodation in Spain under the name “Q for Tourist Quality”. The results show that the most used tools are the survey of customer satisfaction, internal audits, suggestion system. |
