Background climate conditions regulated the photosynthetic response of Amazon forests to the 2015/2016 El Nino-Southern Oscillation event
The sensitivity of the photosynthetic response of Amazonian forests to ENSO-induced drought events is more strongly related to background seasonality in precipitation, soil conditions and species composition than drought intensity, according to remote sensing and statistical analysis.
