Summary: | This paper gathers information and analyses on “The Brazilian education and the periods it can be divided in”, a document of great relevance for the historiography of the Brazilian education. As it contains an original proposal for assigning the periods of the history of education in Brazil, the text written by Laerte Ramos de Carvalho condenses the guidelines he asserts to the teaching and research of History and Philosophy of Education in the College of Philosophy, Sciences and Literature of the University of São Paulo in the 1950’s and 60’s. The analysis also includes information about the context when the first edition of the document was produced and released. |
