Description
Summary:Personnel assessment refers to any method of collecting information on individuals for the purpose of making a selection decision. Selection decisions include, but are not limited to, hiring, placement, promotion, referral and retention. Selecting qualified applicants is a critical step in building a talented and committed workforce, supporting an effective organizational culture, and enhancing the overall performance of the organization. In this paper three Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods, CRITIC (CRiteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation), PSI (Preference Selection Index) and CODAS (COmbinative Distance-based Assessment), are applied to the personnel selection problem for a textile firm in Denizli. The weights of personnel assessment criteria are derived from CRITIC method and transferred to CODAS method. The ranking of alternatives are obtained from CODAS and PSI methods.
