An On-Line Flatness Meter for Continuously Produced Strip Materials
The paper describes an instrument to measure manifest ‘shape’ or non-planarity in strip materials during their production. The device is non-contact, unaffected by the nature of the material and is very suitable for use in a hostile environment (including hot rolling situations).
