Sumario:The characteristics of open systems, characterized by instability, diversity, nonlinearity are given in the article; the mechanisms of self-organization following the example of development of objects of animate and inanimate nature are disclosed; the conclusion is based on self-organization as a way of transition of the system to a new level of development. The possibilities of a synergetic approach in the study of social systems are described.
