Summary:This article focuses on a project in which trainee teachers in Paris and PGCE students in London created a multimedia resource together. The objective is not so much to increase the teachers’ range of resources, but rather to encourage the French trainee teachers to develop their own oral production in English. It is therefore important to study the impact of such a task on their L2 acquisition. Considering that the interactions with their British partners are e-mail-based, the key questions seem to be: what is the impact on the trainee teachers’ oral production and what role does this type of activity imply for their instructor?
