Its purpose is to show what it means to know, from the perspective of the people Inga and implications for teaching biology. The main findings show how to Inga, meet means living, ie, is closely linked to the practice of real life, which also does not occur individually, but is understood as a social practice. In turn, knowledge is not out of the person is from birth within each other and is a matter of life, to go unwrapping.   This implies, in the case of the teaching of biology, a chance to build understandings about the living and life, starting from the knowledge of each person, taking into account the particularities of the contexts of our country, the process of constitution each territorial community and the possibilities of existence of each being in particular. In this sense, reflection is not necessarily focused on ways of human existence, but moved her gaze to all agencies, beings and existences, which are part of life also means political action on the content, forms they are addressed and the responsibility of everyone in favor scenarios to develop the skills of each person.
