Description
Summary:The French school system is insufficiently open to linguistic diversity (Young, 2011). What is the teaching of a regional language’s place? How do the students of middle school with varied family language practices access it? This research aims to identify how the students of this degree in Corsica benefit from the teaching of Corsican language. After identifying the family language practices of 232 middle school students, we measured their level of effective understanding of a short text written in Corsican language. The results question the links between the languages of children, from the family to school in a multilingual context.
