Negative Comparison in Plutarch's <i>Agesilaus-Pompey</i>
This pair of Lives uses the figures Agamemnon and Alexander as secondary comparisons in order to show that Agesilaus and Pompey were alike in failing to measure up to two heroes whom they tried to emulate.
