Sense of self impacts spatial navigation and hexadirectional coding in human entorhinal cortex
fMRI recordings from human participants manipulating a virtual avatar in a spatial navigation task show higher performance, but lower grid cell-like activity, compared to the navigation where no avatar is visible.
