Possible roles of remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV) and robotics in mariculture of the future

The paper surveys some possible future trends in mariculture technology emphasizing new principles for controlling animal motion. Against this background possible applications of remotely operated underwater vehicles and robotics are reviewed.
