Summary:The aim of this study is to find out the effect of school managers’ communication styles on teachers’ motivation. The study is a qualitative study. The sample is chosen by simple random sampling and composed of thirteen participants. The data is collected by interwiew technique. The data is analysed and interpreted by using content analysis. As a result of collected data, it is found out that school managers’ communication styles have an effect on teachers’ motivation and there are differences between the school managers’ and teachers’ opinions. Findings are discussed in the framework of the related literature and some suggestions are made
