description This project aims to initiate an effort to study the application of data mining technology in the context of precision email marketing. Based on an intensive review on the data mining research works and an extensive survey of marketing professionals on the need for email intelligence, a mathematical model of the email content is developed, which is, to the author's knowledge, the first attempt within the data mining research community. In addition, the project defines the problem of discovering email intelligence as a data mining challenge and proposes a modular solution architecture, which composes a foundation for continuous research activities on this topic.
