Description
Summary:Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is a voluntary behavior that is not formally rewarded by the organization. Previous studies found that four aspects of job characteristic (skill variety, task identity, task significance, and autonomy) have positive impact on OCB. The study examined the relationship between job characteristic and OCB by considering Quality of Work Life (QWL) values. The data was gained from 65 employees of an outsourcing company, PT. X. The data was analyzed using regression analysis technique. The result showed that job characteristic had significant influence towards OCB by strengthening QWL values. QWL values acted as mediating variable between job characteristic and OCB. The result of this study and the utility of the insight are discussed.
