description This study focuses on the postponement of adoption. Innovation is an idea, practice, or object perceived as new by the individual. Consumers attitude is a direct act in obtaining, consuming, and using up a product or a service including the process that precedes and follows this act. Postponement occurs when an individual decides to postpone innovation adoption. One who postponed is categorized into non-adopter group. This individual is in an active condition, waiting for the right time to adopt innovation This study examines the relationship between variables in a model that explains several attitude aspects of innovative product adoption liquid petroleum gas for poor people. This study applies positivism paradigm. Positivism paradigm perceives that reality is something which is single, real, and can be categorized, and emphasizes on the causality relationship of which its test is carried out free of values. The population in this research is all poor society, who postpones LPG adoption, in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta that becomes the target of conversion from gasoline to LPG. The sampling technique was non probability sampling because the researcher did not know exactly the number of population that postpones LPG adoption. At this stage, sampling based on judgment or purposive sampling is used because the researcher knows who meet the requirements to be considered as samples. This research applies structural equation modeling (SEM) technique. This study employs SEM approach in two stages: measurement and structural model. Measurement model application is aimed to confirm a dimension or factor based on empirical indicators. The structural model is a model of relationship structure that forms and explains causalities among factors. The result of this research shows that the postponement model of innovation adoption of LPG products for the poor society can be accepted. Further, it can be confirmed that the postponement attitude of innovative products is significantly influenced by relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, visibility, subjective knowledge of innovative products and perception of information availability.
