Summary: | Mocaf (Modified Cassava Flour) is a cassava-made flour that seized similar
characteristic as wheat flour, as of being used for substitute nor mixture those in
processed food product. Mocaf feature is considerably high enough in market by
the superiority which is similar with wheat flour, cheaper price, and also land
availability for cassava production, has become great potency for developing mocaf
industry in Banjarnegara.The aims of research focused in feasibility analysis toward mocaf industry as tapioca industry diversification in Banjarnegara, including several factors such as market and marketing, technical and technology, also financial. Research methods using comparation methods of feasibility value of industry, between mocaf and tapioca. The feasibility calculation results showed NPV mocaf was Rp. 19,683,316,649 > 1, Payback Period 3 years, 9 months and 29 days < 10 years, Profitability Index value 3,5 > 1 and IRR value 29% > Profit Rate Assumption. While tapioca, NPV value was Rp. 14,807,839,616 > 1, Payback Peroid 4 years, 6 months and 9 days < 10 years, Profitability Index value was 3,18 > 1 and IRR 25% > Profit Rate Assumption. 38 Research results showed that based on market and marketing factor point, tapioca was higher than mocaf, 43 points to points. Technical and technology factor point of tapioca was lower than mocaf, 39 points to 48 points. The last but not least, financial factor point of tapioca same with mocaf, 39 points. Conclusion showed that mocaf industry has great potency to be developed in Banjarnegara regency, based on those three basic industrial factors.
