Summary:The purpose of this study is to observe the effect of transformational leadership to organizational commitment with empowerment as the mediating variable in PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk, Surakarta. The respondent in this study is the employees of PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk, Surakarta with a total of 60 respondent. From the distribution of 60 questionnaires, 56 questionnaires were return (93%), and only 50 questionnaires were feasible to used. The result of this study is that transformational leadership affects organizational commitment, both directly and indirectly with empowerment as the mediator. When organizational commitment was mediated by empowerment, therefore the effect of transformational leadership were smaller. The result of this study is appropriate with the study by Ismail et al., (2011).
