description This study aimed to adapt and examine the validity of Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire Teacher Report (SDQ-TR) (hyperactivityinattention subscale) as hyperkinetic disorder screening instrument based on clinical psychologists� diagnosis using PPDGJ III standard. The subjects were 284 boys and girls (7-14 years old) from elementary schools in Kabupaten Sleman and Kota Yogyakarta. Screening quality used Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC), Likelihood Ratio (LR) and Chi square analysis. Sensitivity and specificity were 72.4% and 73.3% (for the optimum cut-off point � 7). Positive Likelihood Ratio and negative Likelihood Ratio were 2.71 and 0.38. The Chi square analysis showed that there was positive correlation between clinical psychologists� diagnosis and the SDQ-TR screening results. From the research above, it can be concluded that SDQ-TR can be employed as a hyperkinetic disorder screening instrument.
