To protect the ownership, the use of watermarking technique is a common authentication method. Watermarking is a process to hide a message in a media, in this case in the digital image. In the past few years, many watermarking techniques have been developed for various purposes, e.g. for copyright protection, data authentication, image/video indexing, transmission error reconstruction, hidden communication, and image captioning. One of them used random matrices in the digital watermarking algorithm. This research is focused on developing a novel fragile watermark algorithm with side information using 9x9 Sudoku matrices. The side information is a pseudo key which is created from a Sudoku matrix. Last digit substitution is used in the embedding phase and four corners detection is used in the detecting phase.
