description Application to modeling a river, especially in the handling of floods, the data requires a very thorough profile of the river. In this study analysis will be conducted of the accuracy of a river profile generated from LiDAR measurements. To obtain the elevation accuracy of LiDAR data a comparation between the data extracted from LiDAR data compared with the stream profile measurement results using a Total Station (TS). The area selected for this study is the Code River measured from the north (North Ring Road) to the south (Amarto bridge) with the criteria of data samples taken are natural cliffs, artificial cliffs, open areas, residential areas, and tree-covered areas. Points of measurement were decided by measuring the cross section of the river using a Total Station (TS), while the cross section profiles taken include toe, cress, and rivers. Used in this study were DEM obtained from the data processed TIN created from point clouds. Comparison of the cross section points was performed by comparing the height difference between the results of measurements using a Total Station (TS) with the result of the extraction of LiDAR DEM to obtain the elevation accuracy tolerance of the river profile. The results of this study is presented in the form of a cross section data of field measurements using a Total Station (TS) and the cross section of the point clouds and DEM extracted LiDAR data. From the results of the comparison it is indicated that the test point data from field measurements using Total Station (TS) is as good as point clouds and DEM extracted LiDAR data. RMSE values obtained from the data point clouds are 1,338 m and the average elevation was 0.380 m and for DEM the RMSE values obtained are 2.018 m and 0.446 m for the average elevation.
