| Summary: | This graduating paper aims to classify about Mahkota Collection as one of batik
industries in Pekalongan which have an important role in the development of batik history in
Indonesia. This paper describes about the history and development of batik Pekalongan up to
now.
I used participant observation and interview method to gather up all the information
about Pekalongan and Mahkota Collection in September, 2013 to January, 2014. For the library
and internet research, the writer used several books and articles to look up more information
about batik industry and Mahkota Collection boutique.
All in all, Mahkota Collection is a batik industry that is dedicated to preserve batik as a
culture heritage in Indonesia. Also, Mahkota Collection has the innovation to make batik more
exclusive and has a wonderful art value.
