description ABSTRACT: The research on the noise inside a motor vehicle cabin was conducted. This was done at fully closed window, half-opened window, and fully opened window. The results show that the noise level inside the cabin are in the range of 69-84 dB (A) at various velocities. The power unit and its auxiliaries as a whole are known as the principal source of noise inside the cabin. The use of acoustic absorbing material on the van floor can reduce the noise level 7 dB to 11 dB at velocities of 40 � 80 km per hour and at the fourth transmission position.
