Summary:ABSTRACT Breast meat as a measure of meat and carcass quality in chickens was investigated. Sixty broilers consisting of 30 males, and 30 females were used. The 30 males or females were composed of 15 broiler chickens aged 6 weeks or 7 weeks. All broilers were slaughtered. Empty body weight, carcass weight, breast part, breast meat, non (mixed) breast meat, breast meat fat, non breast meat fat, abdominal fat. and water content of breast meat, and non breast meat were included io correlation analysis. There were 85 analysis in broiler chickens consisting of 5 groups of correlation analysis, namely 2 sexes, 2 ages and a combination of sex and age. The breast meat was the largest part of carcass The male broiler chicken had heavier carcass_ breast part, breast meat and non breast meat than the female (P
