description Student model becomes very important to support the adaptive process of adaptive tutorial system. Student model relies on the standard rules of teacher assessment, but the standard generally different for every teacher. Neuro fuzzy can used for learn the teacher assessments rules. In this thesis, teacher assessments rules are based on value and time as result of student learning process. That result is a graduation rate of students at reading stage, deepening problems stage, and advanced training stage. Learning value, time, and graduation rate at each stage of learning used as fact in the reasoning process to find failure factors of student learning. Based on research conducted, it was concluded that the combination method of neuro fuzzy and rule-based system can be used as a method of determining a good student model in adaptive tutorial system for learning arithmetic in elementary school level.
