Summary: | Governor The buildings of the Kepulauan Riau Province, the Mayor of
Tanjungpinang and the Regency Head of Lingga are places for delivering services to the
people dominated in the relatd places. In order to provide excellent service, it is required
to have optimum architectural performance with good facilities. The objective of this
research is to measure the satisfactory level of the users upon the maintenance results
carried out by the management.
Questionnaires were distributed by using two methods: the Right-Party Method
and Likert Scale Method. The first method was used to obtain the questioners calculation
results of the management respondents of each building. The questions referred to the
Regulations of the Public Work Minister No: 24/PRT/M/2008 and Pd-T-09-2004-C on
the Guidance of Caring and Maintenance of Building Structures. The second method was
used to obtain the satisfactory level by the user respondents upon the current condition of
the buildings.
The application of maintenance method of the office building based on the
regulation standards showed that the percentage calculation on the management
respondents was resulted in 92.86 %, 78.57% and 57.14% for the office buildings of the
Governor, the Mayor and the Regency Head, respectively. The largest constraint faced by
the managements of the three buildings was the inadequate instruments. Based on the
user respondents upon the building conditions, user respondents answered �good� for the
Regency Head office building and �quite good� for the Governor and Mayor office
buildings. Based on the employment status of the respondent, the answers showed that
contracted employees gave higher values than those with public servant employment
status.
