Summary: | This study aims to examine the effect of relationship conflict and task
conflict on employee innovative behavior. The hypotheses in this study are:
(1) Relationship conflict has negative and significant effect on the innovative
behavior of employees, (2) Task conflict has positive and significant effect on
the innovative behavior of employees.
Methods of data collection used a survey method. 130 questionnaires
were distributed, total respondents were 107 and 72 used for further analysis.
Determination of the respondents using the method of sample is non random,
to get the respondents who actually have innovative behavior. Analysis of data
used a multiple linear regression analysis, as well as the F test and t test with
significance level of 0.05 (5%).
The results of hypothesis testing indicate that hypothesis 1 that
relationship conflict has negative and significant effect on the innovative
behavior of employees is rejected. Hypothesis 2 that task conflict has positive
and significant effect on the innovative behavior of employees is rejected. The
conclusion of this study is the relationship conflict does not significantly
influence the innovative behavior of employees, while task conflict affects the
innovative behavior of employees but showed the opposite relationship.
