Atmospheric chemistry of CF3CH2OCHF2 and CF3CHClOCHF2: Kinetics and mechanisms of reaction with Cl atoms and OH radicals and atmospheric fate of CF3C(O center dot)HOCHF2 and CF3C(O center dot)ClOCHF2 radicals

Relative rate techniques were used to measure k(Cl + CF3CH2OCHF2) = (1.2 ± 0.1) × 10-14, k(Cl + CF3CHClOCHF2) = (5.4 ± 0.5) × 10-15, k(Cl + HC(O)OCHF2) = (2.0 ± 0.2) × 10-14, and k(Cl + CF3C(O)OCHF2) < 4 × 10-17 cm3 molecule-1 s-1 at 295 K. Cl atoms react with CF3CHClOCHF2 (isoflurane, HCFE-2...
