Measurement of branching fractions and search for CP-violating charge asymmetries in charmless two-body B decays into pions and kaons

Branching ratios were measured for the rate charmless decays B0→π+π-, B0→K+π-, B+→K+π0, B+→K0π+, and B0→π+π0, and B+→K̃0K+. No evidence was found for direct CP violation in the observed decays. 90% confidence level intervals were set.
